French Antique Experience - Chateau de Brives
Stories, Sourcing & Styling
Paris • Bordeaux • Château de Brives
15–23 November 2026 | $13,265 / €11,500 | Limited to six guests
What if you could experience the world of French antiques not as a tourist, but alongside people who have spent years developing the eye, relationships and knowledge to recognize truly special pieces?
Join Wendy Harrop and Sarah & George Haslett — owners of Château de Brives, antique dealers and stars of Château DIY — for an intimate nine-day journey through France devoted to stories, sourcing and styling.
We'll begin with two nights in Paris (five-star hotel) and an expertly guided visit to the legendary Clignancourt antiques markets before traveling south to Château de Brives.
For the next six nights, the château becomes our home.
And that is where this experience becomes something truly different.
Live Among the Stories
Sarah and George haven't simply collected antiques. They live with them.
Throughout Château de Brives, pieces gathered over years of sourcing have been layered together to create a home filled with history, personality and stories.
Living at the château gives us the opportunity to experience their collection in the way it was intended: not behind museum ropes, but around the dinner table, beside a favorite chair or tucked into a corner where the perfect piece somehow makes the entire room.
Sarah and George will share the stories behind their finds, teach us what catches their attention when they're sourcing, and help us develop our own eye for quality, value and character.
Source Alongside the Experts
One of the highlights of our time together will be an exclusive visit to Bordeaux's renowned Quinconces Antique Show before it opens to the public.
With Sarah and George beside us, we'll have the rare opportunity to explore before the crowds arrive, learning what they look for, what questions they ask and how they determine whether a piece deserves a second look.
We'll also visit local brocantes and antique shops and return to Quinconces later in the trip — this time with a more practiced eye.
Whether you're searching for something particular or simply want to become more confident recognizing beautiful pieces, you'll have expert guidance throughout.
Gather Around the Table
Sarah is also a chef, making food an integral part of our time at Château de Brives.
We'll visit a local market together and return to the château for a cooking class, and Sarah will prepare our meals throughout our stay.
Because some of the best stories of France aren't found at a market stall.
They're told around a table.
